I applied through university. I interviewed at Mercer in Nov 2019
Interview
First is a video interview (self-recorded) then final round is at their office. It consisted of 5 interviews - 3 behavioral interviews and 2 cases. Interviews were with Principals, Analysts, and always one on one.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
The two cases were not typical cases (like the ones in Case In Point). Instead I was given a packet with information that I was supposed to understand. My interviewer left the room for 15 minutes, and then came back and asked me questions. The first case was about strategic communications and the second about salary/compensation after a M&A
I took my interview during the pandemic. I had 4 rounds of interviews virtually. The questions were straightforward and not difficult at all.The process has changed where it is now in-person.

Tell me about yourself. Why do you want to work for Mercer.
It is a four step interview process with a range of consultants of different tenure. The process is relatively average with a little slower turnaround time from recruiter. Heavy focus on behavioral questions with some questions on technical competence.
