Standard interview process. The recruiter was wonderful and very kind. She arranged a call with the hiring manager, who was mostly impatient and condescending regarding my experience during my meeting with him. They also asked a slew of odd ball, near random questions unrelated to the job. They mostly bragged about the conservative atmosphere and them never transitioning to a remote workspace due to Covid issues. This lead to them stating that they were agonizing over the remote culture and wasn’t sure how to operate as such within the organization, keep in mind, the role was marketed as remote, which is why I met with them. I couldn’t wait to be done with that meeting and knew that I would not want to work there or work in any capacity with that manager. A while later, I received a very laughable email stating that my (very applicable) experience didn’t align with the role. I have to believe other reasons, not my experience were the issue. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to work here based on this experience.
