Position: SAP Manager with EAS Division of Microsoft
The process was lengthy and very time consuming. The process took almost 5 months and some time in between no response from hiring manager (initial screening to phone interview took 3 months) and later recruiter (one month wait time after onsite interview). There were 5 rounds interviews onsite and last round was with Sr. Director; After the interview, the hiring manager told that I am a very good fit for this role and I need to plan to move to Seattle area soon with family, she said I would hear result within 2-3 days; During interview other 3 people showed much interest and told that I am good..But When I didn't hear any response from recruiter after 1 week, sent her a email but no response, followed-up on 2nd week with email and phone call, no response to email or VM; then finally followed up close 4 weeks, no response to email or VM, then contacted initial contact person (before phone screening) and asked her to get me response; I wanted to know the decision, as I don't want to keep waiting for this by ignoring/rejecting other offers; then Finally I received a simple email from reciter (AH) stating though my skills are impressive they selected other candidate (probably standard format). I feel there wasn't much professionalism by recruiter and hiring manager, hiring manager didn't stick to her promise else she shouldn't tell such words at the end of the day while recruiter was really worst, she never respond to email, I believe as a professional, we need to respond to emails for courtesy sake.
