      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Miles IT in May 2021

      Interview

I actually enjoyed the entire process. The process involved a prerecorded video interview to start, followed by two rounds of Google Meet interviews. The process was easy, well organized and felt more like a conversation rather than an interview..

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Miles IT in Apr 2021

      Interview

I had three interviews with Miles Technologies. The first was a video interview in which the CEO posed a series of about 10 (as I recall) prerecorded questions and I responded to each with a video, as well. There was a time limit for each answer, so it's wise to think about the answer before beginning the response. It was possible to delete and start over a limited number of times for most questions. As some of the questions asked for technical details, the time limit caused me to think, "What will I say?," as a full response could easily take far longer than the time allotted. This interview is clearly a screening to see if you have what they're looking for. As I understand it, they receive quite a few applications, so I wasn't too surprised when I didn't get an immediate response. As it turned out, I got a reply 20 days later asking me to a second interview. The second interview was a live video chat with one of the team leaders of a Client CIO team. It was very conversational in nature. While I'm sure he had some specific questions that he asked all applicants, much of the interview was clearly directed at me, my experience, my skills, etc. It was not just "Question 1: please tell me 'x', Question 2: please tell me 'y'," etc. It was quite enjoyable and when we glanced at the clock, we were both surprised to see how long we had talked. It was very comfortable and in addition to answering his questions, I was given the opportunity to ask questions. The third interview was with the IT Services Division President, and like the second interview, was very conversational in nature. Again, it didn't feel like a series of scripted questions as much as a back and forth exchange of information. Very comfortable. Early in the conversation, I was reasonably sure that unless I screwed up somehow, they were going make an offer. As with the second interview, we talked for quite a while and it was quite informative. Overall, the interview experience was quite positive.

      Question 1

The video questions began with the general "tell me about yourself" and ended with somewhat of a surprise question that I really don't want to share because I think the impact of it is in the "Did he really just ask that?" Not at all IT related, but clearly a "Where are you?" kind of question.
