I applied online. I interviewed at Mon Ami in Jun 2024
Interview
TL;DR: Avoid wasting your time interviewing for this org/startup.
I did read the two earlier reviews, but thought about how bad it can be and that every interview is unique so thought of giving them the benefit of the doubt.
However, the process is pathetic, to say the least. There is no structured communication or clarification of what is the format of interview or what are they actually looking for. The JD does not align with their random expectations which will be revealed to you during the interview.
They talk about grandstanding values and passionate verbiage everywhere, but their process is bereft of everything.
Maybe that is their choice, but as an applicant, I can add that avoid this and only think about interviewing here if it is absolutely the last role you could interview for!

Question 1
Q. Random case study
Q. Diving deep into the product experiences
A few phone interviews ranging from 30-60 mins each across a week. Seemed to go well in both directions. Said they were moving fast and that they'd get back to me soon. Heard nothing for over a week, so gently reached back out via a short, respectful email just to get on their radar. Never got a reply or any acknowledgment, but about an hour later I noticed that the application status is AngelList was set to rejected. No email, automated or otherwise. Total disrespect. If that's who's in charge of hiring at Mon Ami, they're going to have a tough time growing that team to be successful. Feels like I dodged a bullet, and if you're reading this, I encourage you to look elsewhere for a team that has the courage to treat people with basic respect.
