I interviewed at Must Have Ideas (Maidstone, England)
Interview
The worst interview 1-1. Owner of the company was in a bad mood before the interview started. Then decided I was over qualified when having less than a year experience lol. He wants someone to crack under pressure of his questions for enjoyment. Doesn’t like it if you have experience in the jon and with a degree.

Interview
Very straightforward process. I applied online and received an email inviting me to interview within 3 days. The interview was in person as they do not offer hybrid/remote work, this mindset has been transferred to the hiring process as well.
Balanced and informed questions were asked, seemed to have read my CV in detail, and wanted to hear about my experience and how I thought I would align with the company. At this point, I did highlight that due to my location, I would welcome any discussions for flexible/remote working, mentioning that I am experienced in the role and have done it effectively remotely for many years. This was dismissed outright.
After the interview, I was offered the role via email. I replied to the email again highlighting if it would be possible to discuss flexible/remote working. This was again dismissed outright.
I had to turn down the position as I would be unable to reliably commute to the office 5 days a week. I did not receive any response after this, which although understandable, is not professional in my opinion.

Interview
Quick process, consisted of two stages:
Initial Teams interview with CTO and then an in office meeting with the CTO and one of the Founders.
2nd interview was more technical but very chill and more of an informal chat.
