I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Nationwide (Columbus, OH) in Oct 2012
Interview
The process was lengthy! I had 4 or 5 interviews anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. Some jobs also require written assignments. In addition to explaining your work history and how you work with others the interviewer will also ask situational based questions. The favorite questions seem to be "why should we hire you" and "name three strengths and one weakness".

Interview
Phone screen by recruiter. Interview with hiring manager. Asked to interview with direct reports, and person leaving the position. VP told me he was moving forward with process after all discussions, then Nothing! I followed up with manager, as well as recruiter. Finally, I called recruiter to inquire as to process and was told, "Oh, he was supposed to call you Last week." It was then late in the next week. Hiring manager finally called - Total lack of professionalism.
