I applied online. I interviewed at Nexi Group (Milan) in Jul 2025
Interview
The interview process consists of at least three stages. The initial round is conducted by the recruitment team, who will review your overall professional background and work experience. Meanwhile, they will walk you through details about the internal teams, daily workflows and company culture.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Nexi Group (Helsinki, Southern Finland) in Feb 2026
Interview
I interviewed for the Nexi Graduate Program in mid February, and unfortunately the entire process — from interview to closure — was a deeply discouraging experience.
From the moment the interview began, the recruiter's body language and attitude made it clear they had little interest in being there — constant yawning and a dismissive tone that made me feel like an inconvenience rather than a candidate. Standard background questions were asked (education, experience, motivation for the program), but there was zero genuine engagement with my answers. It truly felt like my responses went in one ear and out the other.
Post-Interview Communication
The poor experience didn't end there. Two weeks after the interview, I followed up by email asking about next steps. The recruiter replied saying they would forward my message to the IT department and be in touch — which never happened. I reached out every two weeks after that and received no response whatsoever.
Nearly two months later, on mid April, I finally received a rejection — a response so generic and templated it was clearly AI-generated, stating the team had decided to "move forward with candidates whose profiles more closely align with the current requirements of the role." After weeks of silence and zero transparency, this felt like a dismissive, copy-paste ending to an already frustrating process.
I hope Nexi reflects on how their recruitment team represents the company. Candidates invest time and energy into these processes and deserve basic professionalism and honest communication in return.
