Meet a hiring manager, meet the specific manager for your role, answer some simple questions. No demonstration of skills required. Expect to meet a few people before signing a contract.
I had four interviews total. One brief one on the phone, then a week later I met with a hiring manager for about half an hour, a few days later I met with the cosmetics department manager for an hour and my final interview was with the account manager and counter manager for the brand I applied for. I very much enjoyed the conversations I had with these people and I walked away from each one feeling better than when I walked in. They were very prompt about setting up and executing the interviews. The only negative part of the interview process for me was how prolonged it was. All in all, I spent about 2 and a half hours being interviewed. I appreciate thoroughness, and that was really the only complaint I had about the process.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (The Woodlands, TX) in Nov 2022
Interview
Horrible! They only had 4 positions available with 100-250 applicants for each! After I applied they sent me a generic email, stating to come to their job fair! Seriously? Why would they even have a job fair for only 4 positions in the entire store (of which 100's of candidates already applied)!

Question 1
Will you come to our open house job fair on a specific date with tons of other candidates (after they had already filled the positions)?
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Nordstrom (Richmond, VA) in Jun 2022
Interview
The interview process was quite easy, I applied then received a cll back followed by an interview with their HR and then another with the cosmetics floor manager. All interviews were easy and I was offered the job on the spot.
