Interview
Called HR to inquire about a position at the store, and was told to go online to fill out job application and complete a personality questionnaire. Followed up with the manager in the department that I was mainly interested in working in...he pulled my application from HR, and then invited me in for an interview. He stuck to a list of questions provided by HR, but also did a great job of getting to know me personally as well. However, not all interview experiences will be like this at Nordstrom. Some managers are extremely incompetent when it comes to hiring. Others can be very awkward as well.

Interview
Very standardized interview with the department manager, all behavioral questions, was a little repetitive. Only one interview round. Make sure to ask about commission payout because it differs by department.

Tell me about yourself/walk me through your resume. Do you have any sales experience?
Very simple, just an online interview followed by in-person. Asked about past experience and situational questions dealing with customers. Nothing too hard but always remain customer-oriented. Got my offer the following day and started the following week.
Straightforward questions but will ask a lot of scenario questions! No need to be intimidated just be yourself and be truthful when answering questions. They want to see if you’re a good fit not only for sales but for the company and their values.
