There are two rounds of interviews. You will meet with your leader in the first round and meet with the director in the second round. Very straightforward and conversational interview.

I don't live in NYC but NSS contacted me twice to set up an interview for jobs I applied to —first in December 2023, then again in April 2024. The initial interview was for a different position than the one I had applied for. The second interview came after I submitted a general application and they contacted me again to interview for a job that I wasn't prepared to interview for without a job description.
