Thank you for your feedback. We don’t like hearing that anyone has had a negative experience when dealing with NuWave. We understand where you’re coming from and would like to further explain our decision to not move forward with the interview. Recruiting is a difficult endeavor. As an employer, we need to make decisions on candidates based on the information we are given. That information is typically presented in the form of a resume that is submitted by the candidate and through the subsequent conversations that are had. Our hope is that a candidate’s previous successes are a predictor of high performance with NuWave. We are also evaluating other criteria that could be an indicator of future performance. In this case, timeliness was one of those indicators. We believe that showing up late to an interview reveals a lack of planning and communication. Both of these traits translate into poor performance in our industry. Our clients are counting on us to be prepared and to communicate both timely and concisely. Our goal is to bring on candidates that demonstrate the ability to be prepared as we feel they give us the best chance to keep our clients happy.
We did attempt to understand your technical issues. You were asked what time you attempted to log into the remote meeting. You stated that you tried to log in one minute before the meeting started. It was then suggested to you to try logging in at least 15 minutes before interviews as a way of avoiding being late. If you had done that, you could have reached out to say to you were having difficulty and we would have worked with you to resolve the issue and/or reschedule. This feedback was given to you during the interview with the hopes that it could be a positive experience. That is when you presented another telling indicator. Upon receiving the feedback, you stated that you thought it was a big red flag that we were not more understanding of your technical issues. This told us that you were not receptive to feedback and that you may typically respond to feedback in a negative way. This is not a desirable trait at NuWave and solidified our decision to not move forward.
