I contacted a recruited who had posted the job opening on a popular
local mailing list. I made a first one-on-one interview with the
recruiter to see if the job was a good fit for what I was looking for.
Once we new the job was right for me, he arranged an on-site interview
at the company.
The first interview was with the software application manager and a
senior developer. I was asked questions regarding software design and
team management. There was a few questions regarding programming
skills but that session was mostly high level; it covered design
patterns, architecture, and development methodologies.
The following week I was invited for a second interview, this time
with the programming team lead and a senior developer. The second
interview was a lot more technical with a lot of focus on different
frameworks and libraries available in their development environment.
Both sessions were roughly two hours long.
