I applied online. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Palitto Consulting Services (Fort Wayne, IN) in Apr 2023
Interview
Terrible. Sat down at a restaurant with the owner (where he wanted to meet). I informed the man I met (the owner) I applied because the (vague) job description looked entry level, he tells me "it's a senior position". He says I could order what I wanted since he's paying, orders his drink, and sends the waitress away "we're just chatting" after she comes back to take our order - never allowing me to order anything.
'We provide technology services to businesses', then "we're not an MSP". He went on about his abstract business mantra while unable to tell me what his company actually does in any remotely specific terms "we help people", I had to fill in the gaps. The "proud Christian" was also unable to tell me the scope of the job, or even what specific role I was there to interview for, said he's compiling a list to keep on hand (he did lots of typing).
No technical or competence questions were asked, and no technical discussions about job duties or roles were discussed, but he did drill me on memorizing his business mantra - twice. He emphasized "we don't have roles or bosses" then questioned how my experience as a Marine would conflict with the 'rank-less' work environment of his company.
I spent 1hr interviewing for a vague job description, tested on memorizing a c-suite sales pitch, and got 3 sips of water.
