After the phone screening with the recruiter, I was told that I would receive a follow up email to schedule an in person interview with three of the teammates that I would be working along with. The in person interview was scheduled about more than four days in advance. When the day comes to go to the office for the interview, I am then called by the recruiter and told that the people I will be meeting are not in office. In the back, I can hear one of the managers that I was supposed to meet with saying that he can put pants on and will meet me at the office. The recruiter starts to scramble and is trying to figure out the work around and he did apologize for the mishap, and seem genuinely sorry for this hiccup . Upon trying to figure out where I should do the interview. one of the managers said that I could go into the lobby of the building and do the interview in the lobby out in the open . The recruiter disagrees with that and so do I . Then he gives another idea that maybe one of the workers could come out and meet me and take me back into a meeting room sign me into a computer and then we do it virtually that way. Option three was to go to a gazebo that was near the outside area and do the interview outside in the heat. Me and the recruiter both gave the idea that I should just stay in my car sign in through my phone for a virtual meeting. On top of all of this going on when the interview did start the front desk manager, I
was sharing her screen during the meeting . she started googling ‘questions to ask during an administrative interview. ‘Overall, this was the most uncoordinated unprofessional mind blowing interview process. And it’s just very very sad that I was told that I did not get the job because of where I lived. When during the application process and during the phone screening process. I had told them that I live in this city and it’s not that far to me, but if it was such a big deal and if I was cut because of that reason the company needs to look over their application process because during the application I had put that I was in the city that I currently live in and apparently it wasn’t a problem until after I had the
Interview. Overall, a big waste of time, I drove out there just to not meet anyone and not only waste gas but waste my time. it shows that the managers are very disorganized and unprofessional . Overall Just a big joke . No one gave a reason as to why this big mishap happened . Highly would not recommend to interview at this company. It’s a hot mess.
