Met with the hiring manager who reached out to me via email. Didn't get past that initial round, but the subsequent rounds included another interview with two people from the team and a presentation at the office.

Interview
I did two behavioral interviews with different team members. The final round consisted of a case study which I presented live to a panel of interviewers. Half the interviewers didn't show up and the other half showed up late. I got interrupted with questions during my presentation even though there was a Q&A scheduled for the last 10 minutes. After the interviews were done, I received no feedback and no rejection even, they just ghosted. It was extremely unprofessional and an absolute waste of time. I've done many interviews with many startups and this was the worst one. They clearly have no idea what they're doing.

Interview
Started in mid march, the first two interviews were chill and pretty straightforward up until the final round where I was tasked with creating a case study on how I would implement tooling and automations
Had the panel interview with the hiring manager, a product lead and the founder/CEO the first week in April where I presented the case study.
At the end of the panel interview I was told that I was going to hear back for a possible final round (even though the HM just told me a week before that this would be the final round)
Almost 3 weeks later and absolutely no type of feedback or update, even though I reached out to the HM twice. Tbh I could see the writing on the wall and a quick google/Twitter search will tell you all that you need to know about the operation they are running. The founder and I are the same age so I was really looking forward to building something cool with them and learning from them.
The ghosting is whatever at this point but any company that doesn’t have the decency to thank you for your time (even if it was a denial) is a company I want no parts of. As of 4/29 the only message I’ve heard back from the HM was “sorry for the delay, we will be deliberating and come to a decision by Friday 5/2” it’s been crickets ever since. Any who, what a shame because I was actually a fan of what they were building until I peeled back the curtain.
I’m almost 100% sure they’ll probably even take what I proposed in the case study and run with it. Que sera Que sera
I saw all the red flags early on but I’m never the one to take people’s individual experiences and assume it’ll be mine so I tried going in open minded but at the same time managed expectations.
Lastly, any founder that goes on social media to gaslight people holding them accountable for something as dubious as someone complaining (alleged) explicit content from minors on their platform is red flag if I’ve ever seen one.
Get well soon, I hope you all get what’s inevitably coming your way.
