I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at PayPal (Singapore) in May 2025
Interview
The interview process consisted of four rounds: an initial screen with the recruiter, followed by interviews with the hiring manager, their peer, and a skip-level.
The hiring manager interview was scheduled for 30 minutes but ran for a full hour without prior notice. While I try to maintain flexibility, it was just inconsiderate to overrun by that much, especially when candidates are juggling other professional or personal commitments.
Furthermore in the final stages, I was informed on a Tuesday that I had progressed to the last round and was expected to attend it within the next two days, outside of typical APAC hours. While I made the effort to accommodate these last-minute requests, the courtesy was not mutual.
After completing all four rounds, communication from the recruiter, abruptly stopped. Despite multiple polite follow-ups over several weeks, I received no update, closure, or even a standard rejection. It’s incredibly hypocritical that so much was demanded from me in terms of flexibility and availability, but once the company no longer needed anything from me, they could not extend the basic professionalism of a response.
This experience raised serious red flags about how the Paypal values people and conducts its processes.

Interviewed by the hiring manager in the presence of a member of the team. Usual questions during the interview but did not expect the case study question. Did not hear back thereafter.
