Interview
Routine email scheduling the phone interview one day in advance. Called on time. Sounded like a recent grad who had a heavily scripted 5-page packet to run through. First we covered the position expectations, hours, pay, responsibilities, company culture. Interviewer discussed potential issues such as commute time, personal obligations, if I was scheduled to take any of the tests offered by the company in the near future, and potential conflicts if I were to accept the job. Withing 24 hours I was to complete and submit an official application, to then be called back (or not called back) for a 1:1 interview on-site. Was told the process would take 2-3 weeks from call to start date.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Pearson (Alhambra, CA) in Nov 2025
Interview
There was an initial interview with the HR recruiter then the manager of the site. They were extremely transparent about explaining the high-stakes nature of the work, what to expect when working, and making sure the job is truly a good fit. It was more explanation than interview, which I appreciated.
There was a glaring absence of professionalism on HR’s part. HR reached out for my availability, which I responded immediately. Then nothing, no response, no update. Months later, I got a generic rejection. HR clearly lacks organization and respect for candidates’ time. A disorganized and careless process.
