I had 5 interviews. First 2 calls - culture conversations with sales team members. 3rd interview was just a quick conversations with two new sales members. 4th a mock pitch with those team members from the 3rd call. And then the 5th with the CEO. Once I got to speak to the CEO he said I was their first pick but they wanted to offer me an internship because it's hard for such a small company to take on someone new to sales. Keep in mind the application legitimately said "No prior sales experience? No problem" as they provide the training necessary.
Baffled by that conversation, I ended up pitching myself to him again for the full time position, but never heard back. I ended up getting an offer somewhere else so I'm fine, but truly very ****** disrespectful thing to do. I spent a lot of time prepping for these interviews, investing my time in this company, just to be bait and switched. Embarrassing on their end.
But I should mention everyone I spoke to beside the CEO was very nice.
