An interviewer with no knowledge
I got a call from HR he was good asked arranged an interview also had a discussion about the recent changes in android
The interviewer was asking questions related to JAVA and now we use KOTLIN
Questions were the same to same from the palle technology which I added long back they use to teach android in java now even they have stopped teaching native android
He doesn't know how to speak English that's fine (** he was acting like he is a pro (he is not)and bragging we full product based company in a wrong tone ** )but questions like string and string buffer difference in detail like the coaching class notes are not acceptable now we have extension functions in kotlin to perform these operations
all stupid questions directly copied from the class notes and after the interview telling to prepare these questions for other interviews no one asks these java questions now
And showing these things judge your basics is also wrong he was asking pure java questions from palle technologies notes
He asked me no questions on kotlin , MVVM , memory leak, concurrency, and how to maintain them, jetpack components like (view binding, coroutines, etc)
He was just passing these questions like you know kotlin -- ok view binding --> ok

I feel the company is good(as the HR was good and professional) but some people destroy their image also company people must not have an idea about the questions asked in the interview.
I would suggest them to inspection for their android interview set some questions and
standard as per their requirement.
This happens a lot in startups because of the gap company should take feedback from the candidates to improve their interview process
