I applied through university. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Point72 (New York, NY) in Oct 2016
Interview
Applied through university's career services.
First received an email asking to do an online pre-screening video that included 5 interview questions (my interviewer later told me that they send this to all applicants as an additional form of blind screening).
Had a first round interview on-campus a week after I initially got the email for the online video. The questions asked were all fit questions and resume/experience questions.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
What are the hallmarks of a good business and what is your favorite business (outside the technology sector)?
Who is a business icon you admire?
Various fit questions.
CV screen followed by case study, comparing two businesses and a pitch at the end, followed by HR screen. I’m on the website to find out about remaining stages, was told only two more interviews.
Three rounds: initial case study, then hr call, then coaching round, sometimes an additional coaching round. The process was really slow, and the turn around of each round takes up to two weeks.
First round was a case, then the second round was an HR screen. The third and final round is a meeting with a PM. Hard to know ahead of time what you may or not be asked.
