Process : Recruiter call → hiring manager screen (cleared) → loop scheduled: 1 coding + 1 design.
Role was positioned as mobile (React Native), and prep call mentioned the same but the coding round was a React web app—easy enough, but misaligned with the stated role.
Operational Issues:
“Prep” call timing: Initially set 1 hour before the interviews - which seemed totally pointless; later moved to one day prior to interview, after my feedback—still too late to be useful. Prep calls should be scheduled several days in advance so candidates can actually prepare.
Mid-loop cancellation: After the coding round, I received an email same day 30 minutes before the design interview canceling the remainder of the loop. Asking candidates to block time, then canceling mid-process, feels unprofessional and lacks transparency. It leaves the interviewee in bad taste.
Conclusion : Interviewers were nice, no issues there, but the recruiting process is not candidate-friendly, and highly unorganized.
