In April 2025, I applied for the Associate role at Product People. Despite being rejected after completing their product management challenge, I really want to highlight how positive the recruiting experience was. Again, no matter the rejection, I sincerely believe this was one of the best recruiting experience I have had so far in my career. The first culture fit call was friendly and engaging, the recruiter asked questions regarding past experiences rather than technical and they always followed up with sub questions, showing how much they cared to sincerely get to know me as a candidate. As I mentioned, I have completed the challenge but did not pass it. However, it was positively striking to me how the company took the time for a 15 minutes video call to even address the feedback - first time I am seeing a company write a whole bunch about their values on the website and actually implement that in practice.

The recruiter is very nice and friendly. Third round is a task which has 3 parts and takes a lot of time to complete.

Interview
The interview process was well-structured and organized, with each stage clearly communicated in advance. It started with an HR interview, followed by a case study, then a presentation of the case to the team. Afterwards, I had reference calls before the final stage. The team was always friendly, supportive, and professional, which made me feel comfortable throughout the process. I especially appreciated that they gave constructive feedback, even if you don’t get the offer. While the multiple steps can feel challenging, they ensure the company and candidate are the right fit for each other.
