REI Systems Software Engineer interview questions

Interview was good, panel asked about my technical skills and asked questions based on skill set. They explained about the project as well, which explained what technologies i will be working on.

I interviewed with REI over the phone with a recruiter for a position. We simply went over some job listing check marks in an initial phone screen. He did not seem very knowledgeable over what technologies were even being asked, but he was able to navigate it well enough Upon asking for my salary expectations, I said I did not know enough about the exact position to say. He proceeded to become extremely condescending and start lecturing me about how I should be negotiating my salary. I hung up because I am screening for a job interview, not battling with someone on how salary negotiation should be handled. The recruiter then proceeded to text me an offer to teach me "how to handle the salary question" and how he was "more than willing to give it to (me)". It was really unprofessional and this would also be the first time I have ever hung up on a recruiter mid interview
