Interview
I recently interviewed with Roar Africa for a designer role and was told I was a strong match for the position. The first interview went smoothly, and I was excited about the opportunity. However, I was asked to complete a design test that took me two full workdays to complete—without compensation. I went above and beyond what was asked, but despite being told that my application stood out, they ultimately decided not to move forward with my candidacy.
While I understand that not every process leads to an offer, the time and effort I invested into the test felt undervalued, especially given the initial feedback I received. I hope Roar Africa will reconsider how they handle design tests in the future, particularly the need for transparency and fair compensation for candidates' time.

Interview
The CEO nor upper management conducted the initial interviews.
The CEO was unprofessional, in not properly managing the interview and the hiring process: allowed roadblocks at every turn that left the interviewee scrambling, had expiring U.S. visa issues, canceling with no notice and scheduling interviews in an untimely fashion.
