      I interviewed at RaYnmaker

      Interview

It was clear from my conversation with the interviewer that the company couldn't care less about current or potential employees. Asking the right questions revealed recent layoffs that the interviewer was very reluctant to speak on. The biggest red flag occurred when I followed up right after the interview to ask about salary, as I had forgotten to ask during the call. Needless to say, my inquiry was ignored, and the interviewer did not provide the update he promised the following day. Two days passed, still no update, so I sent a final email reiterating my questions about both the follow-up and the salary. Within less than an hour, I received a generic rejection email and when I asked about the reason for rejection, the interviewer would not respond. This suggested the interviewer had no intention of being transparent about pay or anything else that mattered, and flat out lied about the "next day" follow up, which honestly I never expected. If you ask about salary, you may be deprioritized and rejected immediately. Companies that avoid transparent discussions about compensation often offer pay well below industry standards for the role. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company unless you are in urgent need of employment. Even then, secure the paycheck and plan your exit as soon as possible.

Not much was asked to determine my skill set or fit.
