I applied through an employee referral. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Relay (Canada) (Toronto, ON)
Interview
Interview process was very transparent through the candidate hub. I got to know exactly how the interview process will be, who I'll be meeting, and what the expectations are.
The phone screen itself was a bit unclear as to what the recruiter wanted to hear from me, with no time at all for questions or discussion past just talking about experience.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Am I back-end leaning or front-end leaning, What full stack projects have I worked on and what were he challenges with this problem.
The interview process for the full stack developer internship was smooth and simple. It only consisted of one 30 minute behavioural interview with two Engineering Managers, done virtually through Google Meets.

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Relay (Canada) in Aug 2025
Interview
The process was mostly standard, but the “Values” interview stood out in a negative way. It was poorly structured, unclear in its expectations, and ultimately felt like a waste of time. There was little guidance on what was being assessed, which made it difficult to prepare or provide meaningful responses.
The recruiter screen was framed as a “career story,” but in practice it was an unfocused conversation where I was expected to walk through my experience at length with minimal direction. The discussion lacked structure, and many of the follow-up questions felt disconnected or superficial. The recruiter was also overly chatty, which made it unclear whether they were trying to guide the conversation or simply fill time, and it detracted from what should have been a more purposeful screening.
Overall, the process felt inefficient and at times disorganized, particularly in the early stages.
