      Manager Interview

      Neutral experience

      Application

      I interviewed at Rippleworks

      Interview

Organization was very kind and transparent about the entire process and what to expect. Ultimately I came away disappointed given how strongly they position themselves as a mission-driven organization. Throughout the process, there was a clear emphasis in their communication on being “mission-focused,” which I appreciated and aligned with. However, my experience in the interview felt completely disconnected from that messaging. As I moved forward in the interview process, the interviewer showed little interest in discussing the mission in any meaningful way, and there was minimal effort to understand me as a person or how my background connected to their work. The conversation felt transactional and surface-level, which was surprising for an organization that emphasizes impact and values alignment. I would have expected a deeper dialogue around motivation, purpose, and fit...especially given the nature of their work. Overall, the experience didn’t reflect the culture or priorities they communicate externally.

I applied online. The process took 8 weeks. I interviewed at Rippleworks in Sept 2022

      Interview

"Congratulations, you are one of five final candidates!" is never a sentence you want to hear after you've completed 8 weeks of interviews. If you can't make a hiring decision after 2-3 rounds in a reasonable timeframe, the problem is the company, not the candidates. Psychological torture is not a winning hiring strategy. It's been two years and I still have a negative reaction whenever I hear about this company. I would never work there nor partner with them in any way.
