I applied through a recruiter. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Robert Walters (Singapore) in Sept 2018
Interview
I was reached out via email and had to meet the director of commerce. I completed my interview which went well and then I was asked to meet the MD for the second interview.
Honestly, I was pretty surprised by the questions I was asked and it gave me an insight into the culture of the company. He was sexist and unpleasant. He asked me where my husband works and then went on to tell me why do I need a job since my husband is in a well established company. He then asked me what my husband salary was.
I was really intimidated and wanted to leave immediately.
I was called in for the third interview but there was hiring freeze and honestly I am glad I was not hired into this company.

Question 1
Previous recruitment experience? Whether I had agency experience.
First interview was good. Interviewer was professional and informative. Second interview however was a bit off. It was with a Senior Recruiter. The interviewer was a few minutes late, spoke quickly as if in a hurry. Made a puzzled look everytime I answer as if I everything I said didn't make sense even though my answers still relate to the questions. Not sure if it's part of his recruitment tactic to test resilience/adaptability. Made a lot of statements as if to highlight my lack of compatibility to the job.
Professional process, I got to interview and received lots of insight about the industry, the benefits and challenges for the job from the hiring managers and the Country Manager. Everyone seems to be very decent, polite and thoughtful people.

Question 1
What is your career trajectory for the next 5 years?
The interview process was good overall. I first had an interview with the HR department, followed by a second interview with the director of the department I applied for. I had good conversations with both of them, and their answers were very clear and honest when I asked questions. However, since I came from a different industry, I decided to return to my previous field instead of challenging myself with a completely new one
