I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at RocketRoute (Jacksonville, FL) in Aug 2023
Interview
Interviewers were extremely condescending and rude. I've been in tech for 6 years and a Cloud Engineer for 3 years and I've never reviewed an interview experience until now. The people that interviewed me have 0 social skills and appear to be barley holding on to any happiness they have at life (I'm not exaggerating). I was offered a 6 figure DevOps Engineer position at a fortune 500 company the day after my interview with this company. The interviewers refused to let me elaborate on my experience and tried to belittle me during the interview. I ended the interview early as there isn't really a dollar amount I would take to work with these kind of people.

Question 1
What would you use to route web traffic coming into your AWS environment?
I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at RocketRoute (London, England) in Sept 2022
Interview
I applied through the recruitment agency. Phone screening with the external recruiter and technical interview invitation from the RocketRoute. I did interview with two DevOps engineer, they were very kind and interview went smooth. They tried to measure my skills with general technical questions. Following the interview I got feedback from the recruitment agency. I was shock because they found my AWS knowledge basic and not networking knowledge, no Kubernetes knowledge etc. They didn't ask me any Kubernetes question and there was only one load balancer question about network, and I answered it as it should be. Although I am more experienced with Kubernetes than them, it was very painful to receive such feedback. I wish the company good luck! In good hands!
