Interview
"I applied for a salaried HR position, when I got to the virtual interview the gentleman informed me I would have to work my way up for a year, with door to door sales. Wouldn't give me an exact estimate of how much I'd be making since it was sales, which I get, but the entire point of applying for a position is because your experience and qualifications match the job. Theres a reason I didnt go into sales. Also, they post job positions that claim it is located in one area or city, I got there and said this is where the position was supposed to be located, I was told "I have no idea why it says that". It was a complete waste of time, for both of us, unless he benefits from just simply interview others, either way its deceptive and slimy behavior. Honesty goes a long way, integrity is a good trait to have as an employer, its not found here."

Question 1
Why do you think we promote from within the company?
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at SMI Telecom (Cherry Hill, NJ) in Oct 2023
Interview
First of all, they sent me 4 different zoom links and called me to make sure I understood, which was nice. Upon entering the zoom interview, it was a group interview (3:1) with other candidates whom were interviewing for a sole position. Before the interview, I was told that it would be very basic with just the discussion of the pay structure and an overview of the company. I had to ask about the pay structure at the end, which I found to be misleading in itself from the job posting. Another misleading factor was he said everyone starts from the bottom, meaning you must be a sales rep for a year or so before getting to be the job title you applied for. With the way the interview was set up with a group setting, it was extremely difficult to cultivate your own ideas since he was going down the line with the same questions being asked to everyone. The interviewer himself was extremely unprofessional and even told us that he was a college dropout, which I am unsure why you would mention to potential candidates who are looking for full time employment. Bottom line, if you're looking for a professional place to work and have long term stability, this unfortunately is not it.
