Within the first few moments of the initial interview, I was unexpectedly asked to complete a memory test unrelated to the job. As there was no prior indication of such a requirement, I declined. When I suggested alternative ways to demonstrate my skills, the interviewer was not interested and abruptly ended the interview. I felt like the company was not interested in getting to know me and the entire conversation was artificial and clinical with zero human touch. This experience indicates a lack of soft skills and understanding of candidate evaluation within the HR department, relying solely on potentially unreliable psychometric tests.
