The process felt a bit different from what I remember. There wasn’t much discussion about job expectations or responsibilities, which usually comes up if you’re seriously being considered. That made me suspect early on that I might not receive an offer.
Another detail that stood out: the interview was conducted in an outer office rather than a private space. I was taught that this can sometimes be a subtle sign that a candidate isn’t a top contender. Still, I stayed present and professional throughout.
While I this interview will lead to a job offer, I’m still grateful for the opportunity. It helped me dust off some interview skills and reminded me of things to watch for in future situations. I know I would’ve done well in the role, so I’ll consider it their loss—not mine.
Every experience is a chance to grow. I’ll take this one in stride and use it to prepare for the next opportunity that’s meant for me.
