I applied online. I interviewed at SchoolMint (San Francisco, CA) in May 2017
Interview
I applied online and heard back within 48 hours. I then had a 30 minute phone call screening, which led to a 3 hour in-person interview.
The in-person interview was broken up into about 40 minute chunks with close to 10 people from the team. I was asked the "Why SchoolMint?" question in nearly every interview, and was also asked specific questions pertaining to my resume, my previous experience, etc. I was also given time at the end of each interview to ask any questions I had for those interviewing me, which allowed me to get an even better feel for the company and the people I would potentially be working with.
Overall, the interview experience was a terrific one. The questions were at times quite challenging since specific scenarios were described for which I had to explain in detail what steps I would take if I were faced with the issue at hand. I was able to get a very good feel for both the company and the team during my interview, and left wanting the job even more than when I had gone in.
After my in-person interview, I had a follow-up interview with the COO, which I felt was a strong indicator of how much this company values each individual employee.
I believe that it was about 3-4 weeks from the moment I submitted my initial application online to the moment I was offered the job.

Question 1
They asked me to walk them through how I would approach a very difficult scenario that might arise for me as a Customer Success Specialist.
I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at SchoolMint (New York, NY) in Mar 2018
Interview
I applied for the position and they sent me a schedule for a phone screening the next day. Shortly after, I had my phone screening which I thought went well. They told me that they would contact me with next steps within 5 business days but unfortunately I was rejected. I wanted to ask if there was reason as to why they rejected but I didn't receive a response.

Question 1
Describe a position that you have held which is similar to the SchoolMint position you're applying for?
I had a great experience with SchoolMint during the interview process. There were 3 interviews in total. The first was an informational phone interview which mainly involved talking about the role and company. The second was an in person interview at the NY office. I talked to most of the Customer Success team and Skyped with two team members from the San Fransisco office. The third was a Skype interview with the COO and a member of the Product team.

Interview
I interviewed in the SF office and had the opportunity to meet the CS team, as well as members of Engineering and Product. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. I felt really comfortable asking my questions and interacting with the team, especially the CEO and COO. The interviews were a good mix of personality, skills and technical questions. I left the interview feeling really excited about the culture and mission of the company! I received the good news after about a week that I had been made an offer.
