Second Stage Theatre interview questions

I did a phone screening with a recruiter followed by an interview with the hiring manager. Both were pleasant enough and seemed positive. After that they asked me to complete a written assessment related to job duties. All this happened very quickly and the written assignment was given with no notice over a holiday weekend, which would be fine but the humiliating part of this process came later. They strung me along for over a month after completing the written assignment. The recruiter would call every other week to say they were still interested and making a decision. In that time they reposted the job at a lower salary than the recruiter told me, which was already way below market value. A truly demeaning process for a job title they didn’t seem to understand and were not willing to pay at value.

Very nice HR interview, the interview with marketing director was bizarre, and was told there was going to be a design assignment before next steps, that never happened. It felt like I was set up to fail.
