Shopify Lead Software Engineer interview questions

The interviewer was more than 10 minutes late and did not compensate for the time. The problem was not hard, but the requirements were poorly written and the interviewer was not helpful when questioned about it.

There was a lifestory, problem solving, and technical life story portion the first day. The second time I came in I did pair programming and a technical deep dive. The only part that I felt wasn't as strong as it could be was the pair programming, but that's because the requirement felt way too big for the time given so it threw me off a little on where to start and what to complete. Everything else felt like it went really positively, but I got a call that they went with other candidates. I'm not sure what lead role I was even going for because the recruitment process wasn't straight from an application I thought I could fit in multiple lead roles they had open. Feedback would have been nice.
