It's pretty straightforward and dry. I found them to be a little nit picky, and seemingly averse to hiring people with kids. I would agree with what someone else said in another comment that I read.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Simple Fractal in Feb 2023
Interview
After answering an initial form, I picked my own time for a 24-hour take-home assignment. After this were two additional interviews. I don't know what else. I haven't gotten that far.
The most unprofessional interview experience I've ever experienced. STAY AWAY.
I was given a take-home assignment to complete, and was kindly assured I would get feedback and information about possible next steps within a week. That week came and went, so I followed up. I received another quick response that they still needed time to review submissions and would follow up within another week. I followed up once more but was given the cold shoulder. This wouldn't be so bad, except I truly felt I went above and beyond on the submission and was excited about interviewing for the role.
A small company that can't even make time to respond to candidates is clearly a disaster. I can only hope I can save somebody else's time by writing this review.
