It's pretty straightforward and dry. I found them to be a little nit picky, and seemingly averse to hiring people with kids. I would agree with what someone else said in another comment that I read.
I applied through other source. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Simple Fractal in Feb 2023
Interview
After answering an initial form, I picked my own time for a 24-hour take-home assignment. After this were two additional interviews. I don't know what else. I haven't gotten that far.
The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Simple Fractal (New York, NY) in May 2021
Interview
I was given a 24-hour take-home assignment that involved creating a simple React app.
Unfortunately, I did not make it into the next round due to some errors I committed in the take-home assignment.
The person that graded my assignment gave me a breakdown about where exactly I fell short and where I did a good job.
This feedback was perhaps what made it the best rejection I have ever received because I knew exactly why I didn't move forward. This kind of shows leadership.

Question 1
I was to create a React app that would use data from CSV files that were provided to me. I was supposed to then write a function that performed some mathematical operations based on the data from the imported CSV files.
