The interview process was really very disappointing. They conducted Face to face interview (I traveled for 6 hrs for this).
I had a great technical interview session with one of their senior developer.
It took almost 1.5 hour for that interview. I got cleared.
Then the terrible thing came. The Mettl test.
I just want to suggest to the person whoever designs the interview process in Simplify that PLEASE USE YOUR BRAIN.
You ask people to travel to your office location for the interview then you conduct technical interview first and after clearing you are conducting that stupid machine test which defines/judges the capability of software engineers who are well versed in their job.
If you really want to conduct the machine test, why don't you take it as a first eliminator?
why is the need for you to conduct it after asking people to come to you office, clear the technical interview and then take the machine test?
Does it make any sense? Isn't it stupid?
SO I had that machine test. 2 programs were there. In which I couldn't use Console.Write("Some text/value"); just to check what values I am getting.
I was not allowed to see the output of my program. because no such option was there.
It was just a bizarre Machine test.
And after finishing the test, the HRs (who were sleeping) on their desk came to me to say I am sorry. Your cutOff is not enough.
I was shocked. I mean I have cleared the technical interview after answering questions on ASP.Net, MVC, Asp.net Core, OOP concepts, MSSQL, Javascript, JQuery, Real time scenarios.
I had answered all of them and then somebody comes to say you Thanks For Coming.
That was some piece of Horror.
PLEASE IMPROVE YOUR PROCESS!!!!!!
