I got offered an interview via text & email and told I needed to log into my Sodexo account to book to, which I attempted to do. It took several hours as it every time I followed the link it said no slots were available. Eventually I got a slot and another text & email confirming and advising a Teams invite would be sent separately. Jump to interview day and still no invite revived so I had to chase it down and finally received it 3 hours before my slot.
I quickly researched the person interviewing me in prep and joined my call to find someone entirely different waiting for me. No explanation as to why the change had been made and I was then advised this was actually just an informal chat to get to know me, how I work, etc. After maybe 10 minutes the interviewer started to throw random questions at me that were neither related to my current role or the role I had applied for (which was a junior position).
To boot, the interviewer was only half in front of the camera for the most of the meeting, at times disappeared completely from view and when they were visible they were incessantly rubbing at their eyes.
I left the call wondering what had happened and eventually received feedback 3 weeks later saying I had not scored well enough in the technical interview to progress to the next stage, which is not a shock as I never had a technical interview.
