I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines in Dec 2021
Interview
I applied on 09/23 and was able to pass through the phone interview and panel interview easily. The last step is a physical test which consists of walking through a makeshift plane: can you fit in the aisle, in the emergency exit, and in the jump seat safely? That is where my downfall came. I'm not upset that I didn't meet the requirements at this time if I was a bit too wide in the seat (they don't disclose why someone would fail it so this was my assumption). It was just the recruiters that did mine were very unwelcoming and treated me like I didn't belong there even though I earned my way to that point. I'm not sure if I'll apply again in the future or not due to this experience.
Application, ODVI, F2F. All pretty straightforward, emphasize safety and customer service. If they like you, youll get moved onto F2F round. Practice STAR Method and be comfortable talking in front of a camera

The interview was on zoom in 2022. It was with a recruiter and flight attendant. They were very nice and made me feel so comfortable throughout the process. The whole interview took around 30 minutes.
I applied online. I interviewed at Southwest Airlines (Dallas, TX) in May 2026
Interview
So far, it has been moving at a great pace. I have only completed my on demand interview, and I am scheduled to attend my face to face in the near future! The online interview was great - be yourself, smile, and use the uninterrupted time to really express yourself! I'm very grateful for this opportunity and best of luck to all those applying!
