I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Spinelli Kilcollin (Los Angeles, CA) in May 2025
Interview
A 100% negative interview rating speaks for itself.
I too had a negative experience with the Spinelli team. The interview opened awkwardly with quiet hesitation and silence. I had to break the ice to get the flow of conversation going. A bizarre start that snowballed through the course of the interview. It was only near the end that I realised they had no intention of hiring me -- they were interviewing me to extract ideas & information. This was confirmed when the recruiter did not follow up with an email or final decision afterwards. Ghosting in the most careless way.
By far, the worse interview experience I have ever had.
Also, their compensation is well below the market range. My overall impression is that this is a "family run" shop that the rigor & culture of a company that would allow employees to thrive.

Question 1
What kind of ideas would you initiate in this job?
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Spinelli Kilcollin in Aug 2024
Interview
Interview process was pretty quick and easy. Meeting with management and HR in 2-3 interviews. Was told the new store was opening sometime in September.
Very poor communication afterwards. I continuously had to reach back out for any updates as the date they had given me whey they would call or email me would long pass.
Eventually found out I didn’t get the job from an Instagram post confirming their new store opening!

Interview
The interview process was frustrating and drawn out over four weeks, with poor communication throughout. Despite following up several times, I rarely got responses or updates. When I finally spoke with the manager, they were aggressive and lacked knowledge about the role. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience.
