The interview process was smooth. A total of two rounds of interviews, the first one with the hiring manager and the second one with the team. It did take them longer than the time frame they had given for their decision.

Interview
The interview had three stages: online screening, in-person with supervisor, in-person with colleagues. The online screening consisted of a cover letter and resume plus an online form including salary requirements. The first contact was an invitation to meet with the supervisor, one-on-one. This was a formal interview, but it involved information flowing in two directions, so that I had plenty of opportunity to learn about SUP and the production editor position. The follow-up interview with potential colleagues was more of a round-table discussion. I felt very confident at this stage, which might have helped me feel at ease, but I think this would have been easy for anyone who was at all right for the job. This was a very pleasant group of people to meet.
