I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Stantec (Ottawa, ON) in Mar 2010
Interview
I had met an employee of Stantec at a mutual friends place. I was still a student, so I started asking him about his job, and if he liked his job. After a good talk he told me, "send me an e-mail when you are looking for a job."
So, closer to graduation, I sent him an e-mail asking if he knew of any positions opening up in my preferred field. He forwarded my e-mail to the manager of a department looking for an junior. I had a phone interview with the manager, and shortly after that I was given a job offer.

Interview
Instructions were given very clearly, and easy to follow through. After arriving in the office space, the attendant was friendly. Meeting the interviewers, they were super friendly and chill about everything. I had a great time talking and answering questions they had asked me.
