Interview
An interview is a structured conversation between an interviewer and a candidate. The interviewer asks questions to assess qualifications, skills, and cultural fit, while the candidate highlights their experience and asks questions about the role. This mutual evaluation helps both parties determine if they are a good match for each other.

Interview
I interviewed for this position with the German branch of Star Charge. First few parts of the process went ok - I confirmed the salary they want to offer. Lower than what I expected, but still alright, as all parties understood this amount was proposed because I don't have direct experience in the field. I got through the first HR interview and went on to the second interview - this time with a director of one of the departments. Said director likes my profile, says I won't have issues transitioning to this industry and the role in question. All seems good. Two weeks later, an offer is on the table. Over 20000 Euros LESS than what was agreed before "because that's what's paid in your country in similar roles". It doesn't matter what they think people earn in my country. They agreed on a number with me beforehand, they knew my financial expectations well ahead of this moment, they also knew I've already lowered my expectations knowing this position won't pay this much. Most of all, they had a budget for this position already, and still, they simply wasted my time and tried to low-ball me. This is called "bait and switch" where I am from, and that's a gentle form of expressing such tactics. Needless to say, I am very, very disappointed with this process and can't recommend this company to anyone at this time. Unless you like wasting your time, that is. Just prepare to get low-balled, so you're not as surprised as I was.
