I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Starbucks (Los Angeles, CA) in Dec 2012
Interview
Very quick and easy , asked about my past work experience, also was interested in my long track sheet of customer service, cash handling skills was an plus, was hired as an barista and promoted to a shift supervisor within a year of working for the company. An hour after the interveiw I received a phone call offering me the job
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
After applying online they invited me for an online interview that was a group interview then the next stage would have been a one to one digital interview over zoom.
