The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Los Angeles, CA) in Mar 2012
Interview
I had a total of three interviews. They also called all of my references who gave me shining reviews. Very basic questions like: tell me about a time you had to deal with a difficult customer, tell me about a time when you disagreed with a new plan the corporate office sent down, how have you handled theft in the past, etc. I interviewed with 2 store managers and then the district manager. All were easy and not stressful. I also was offered a free drink of my choice at each interview.

Question 1
How would you handle this situation: the corporate office sends you instructions on a new merchandising campaign. As you review it, you realize that it really isn't a good idea and a waste of payroll and effort. What do you do?
It was not as bad as I thought, they asked me about my values, we talked about experiences with customers ( they are very big on treating customers right so a big emphasis on this) and time management
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks in May 2026
Interview
Applied online, then called the store a week later, said they weren’t hiring for that position actually and then 3 weeks later got a random call for an interview. Two rounds of interviews
I applied for a position online and got a call back pretty much the next day. Interview questions are more based on your ability to tell a story than a right or wrong answer. Two rounds of interviews.
