I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks (Fort Lauderdale, FL) in Oct 2019
Interview
The interview process was multi-leveled. I interviewed with 2 District Managers -- one for the District I applied to and one for the neighboring district -- and Regional Director (the DM's supervisor). The process was a bit timely, as coordinating with multiple individuals added to the timeline slightly, but I found the process to be fairly standard.
Initial interview was with DM for my area. Second interview was with their peer DM for outside/second approval. Interview/conversation with Regional Director was mostly ceremonial, as they like to speak to all hires for management level roles. Offer was extended through HR after second interview. Negotiation was short and fairly easy.
Interview questions [4]
Question 1
Describe a time when you had to take customer feedback into account to improve your performance in a previous role?
Say we have to sell 15 Pumpkin Cold Brews (or other special offering) during your shift. What are some ways you would try to push those to customers to hit the sales number for the day?

Interview
Phone interview with a recruiter who expects STAR style answers. The questions are pretty standard and easy to find online, so prep isn’t hard. Honestly, the toughest part, if you’re already an internal employee, is getting the interview in the first place. You really have to show your managers that you’re serious about moving into the role.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Give me an example of a time you solicited feedback and encouraged the sharing of ideas by your time or group of colleagues. (What actions did you take with that information and what was the result?)
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We appreciate your input and will take it into consideration as we continue to improve our interview process.
I applied in-person. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Starbucks
Interview
For an external hire, pretty normal for an interview. For an internal hire, they basically want you to answer as if you were a robot. They want you to answer by telling a story in the STAR format (Situation, Task, Action, Result)

You will be asked scenario questions. Answer based on your experience not what you would have otherwise done. Be specific and paint the picture as if you are telling a story.
