The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Starbucks in Jun 2010
Interview
Had a friend recommend me, submitted a resume and did an online app. Was contacted with interview about a week later. Interview about an hour long, just the regular questions you see posted around. I dressed in black shirt and pants, which was the working clothes of the Starbucks I was applying for. Not overly fancy, but not shabby either. Used a lot of scenarios from previous experience, and if I hadn't had anything happen to me, I would just go "Well, I haven't been in that situation, but if I did..." because they want to see how you would react in different scenarios. Try to be as flexible with your time as you can, and even if you can't work once school starts, say you'll try to keep on working anyways.
Basically a short chat about my availability, my interest in the job, why I want to work there, how familiar I am with coffee and what my past experiences in hospitality were.
Easiest interview I've ever had. I was only asked 3 questions, 'tell me about yourself, what are your strengths & weaknesses, what is your availability?' Lasted about 10 minutes maximum
Thank you for taking the time to write your feedback. We appreciate your input and are happy to hear that you’ve enjoyed the interview process here at Starbucks.
it was great. I answered every question thoughtfully and easily. You have to have two interviews, one with the manager and one with the district manager. It is a in person interview. They ask many questions and will either hire you on the spot or you will have to call to see if you get the position.
