Title: Multiple on-site visits and detailed technical discussions—then ghosted
Review:
I went through a hiring process where the company brought me on-site twice. During those visits, they shared parts of the actual project/codebase I’d be working on, which I appreciated because it gave a clear picture of the role and expectations.
However, after investing that time (and them investing theirs), the process ended with complete silence. No update, no decision, no feedback—just ghosting. That’s a disappointing and unprofessional candidate experience, especially after progressing to multiple in-person steps.
If you’re going to run a process that includes on-site visits and deep technical conversations, you should be able to communicate a simple outcome. Candidates plan their schedules, take time off, and commit real effort. Ghosting at that stage signals poor coordination and lack of respect for people’s time.
